Frankfurt is a beautiful city! We got there around 11 and had a very long lunch at an Australian place. I had schnitzel with rahmsoße. I asked the lady what rahmsoße was and she goes, "rahmsoße is rahmsoße!" No help at all. We also had apple wine at lunch and the when i asked for that she goes, "You vould like some apfle vine?" It was quite funny!

apfle vine!
After we checked into our hostel, which was very nice, we explore the town and went to do some shopping! yay. We saw this huge euro sign with stars all around them, it was very cool looking, but there were all these tents surrounding it. I jokingly said, "Its probably Occupy Frankfurt." It was..
i didnt know the occupy movement was global.
We went down the shopping area and got some great souvenirs :) There are thai restaurants every where! I had it twice for dinner! I love it! :) The mall was very cool! It had a big hole in it and when you went inside there was like a glass tunnel!
We slept for 13 hours that night! We were all so tired! On Saturday we went on a bus tour! It was fun. I learned quite a bit about Frankfurt
1) It was where emporeres were elected and crowned
2) it was settled in the first century by romans
3) It got its name from Frank=german and Furt= shallow river
4) Frankfurt has the nickname manhattan because it has the biggest concentration of high-rises anywhere in western Europe! I thought this was funny
We stopped in Romer- which is beautiful! It was resorted after WWII because it was severely bombed. I, of course, found some cotton candy! And I have to say, it was some of the BEST cotton candy I have ever had. The cathedral was gorgeous and the rest of the bus tour was great!

Sunday we got up "early" aka 930 and went to the jewish museum. It was not to bad. I thought it would have more holocaust things, but it did not. It had a couple of panels and a video but it was more on the history. It was pretty sad because there was a whole wall of Jews who were taken out of Frankfurt. It was about 10 feet by 6 feet and had tiny tiny print. There must of been 10,000 names at least! just in Frankfurt :( it was very sad.
On a happier note the German festival/carnival was later that day! it was great fun! So many people dressed up and the parade was 3 hours long! Oh my god! here are some great pictures of outfits and floats!
Odd side story. on the way back from the parade I stopped to buy some post cards. The man who rang me up said, "Hola!" I reply with an odd look. He replies in Spanish and I say, "Sorry no hablan español?" And he goes, "Oh you not Spanish? I thought you speak spanish outside." I said, "nope English." Very odd, do i look spanish at all?.....
